Did you grab a pair of Space Jams? Most online retailers and reports streaming in from across the U.S. are describing a virtual sell-thru of alloted pairs, with many stores opening to long lines and overnight crowds. Last night, both Eastbay and Finishline were temporally overloaded from launch traffic and unaccessible. Check the official NikeTalk Air Jordan XI “Space Jam” thread for an up-to-the-minute post by post account of the release, including an image of purported damage to a Foot Locker with a smashed in metal gate and front glass displays.

A day already filled with blood thirsty last minute Holiday shoppers was made even more chaotic with the launch of Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan XI “Space Jam” Retro, a re-release of the year 2000 classic. Although most were wise enough to camp out by the computer, others made the trip to the local sneaker store, which resulted in unexpected (although somewhat expected) melees. Offered below are some images of the damage caused by hungry Air Jordan aficionados. Definitely feels like the 90s all over again.

Status throws grand opening event this Saturday, December 12.
Status, a streetwear spot and skate shop within Westfield Mall on Market Street (San Francisco), isn’t your typical streetwear site. They are living proof of the struggle and the upcoming win of an underdog, a breathing lesson that there is no room for quick judgments, and that there’s always room for innovation in the streetwear world.
